[ARCHIVED] Temporary Closure on Albert Avenue to Begin Monday, May 20

EAST LANSING, Mich. — Community members are advised that Albert Avenue, from Division Street to Bailey Street, will be closed to through traffic starting Monday, May 20. The road will re-open to traffic on Wednesday, May 22.

During this time, construction crews will be installing new sewer leads for a three-unit townhouse that is being built on Albert Avenue.

Vehicles headed into downtown East Lansing from eastbound and westbound Grand River and Albert avenues will be detoured via Division Street and/or Bailey Street. The Bailey Parking Lot will remain open during the project and pedestrian access to businesses will be maintained at all times during business hours.

Motorists are encouraged to exercise caution in the area. Community members with questions can contact the East Lansing Department of Public Works at (517) 337-9459.
