EAST LANSING, Mich. — Community members are encouraged to register for the East Lansing Parks, Recreation & Arts’ (ELPRA) 2019 spring/summer Adult 4v4 Soccer League. The registration deadline is Friday, May 3.
The Adult 4v4 Soccer League will include 18+ and 30+ divisions for men, women and coed teams. Advantages of this league include playing on a small-sided field and playing games in two, 20-minute halves.
“Soccer continues to be popular in the greater Lansing area,” said ELPRA Director Tim McCaffrey. “We think that soccer enthusiasts may be interested in a recreational soccer opportunity that requires gathering just a few other players and playing on a smaller field than regulation soccer.”
The league consists of an eight-game season, plus participation in a single elimination tournament at the end of the season. Games will either be played at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center, 819 Abbot Road, or East Lansing Soccer Complex, 3700 Coleman Road, on Tuesday and Thursday nights from May 14-June 27. The cost is $350 per team (that includes a roster of up to 10 players).
