EAST LANSING, Mich. — The East Lansing City Clerk’s office, 410 Abbot Road, will have special hours this Saturday, Aug. 4 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. to issue and receive absentee voter (AV) ballots for the August 7, 2018 Primary Election. The last day to have an AV ballot mailed is Saturday, Aug. 4 and the last day a voter can apply for an AV ballot and have it issued in person is Monday, Aug. 6 by 4 p.m. All AV ballots must be returned to the City Clerk’s office (not a voter’s precinct) by 8 p.m. on Election Day. An AV ballot application and additional election information can be found at www.cityofeastlansing.com/elections. Applications can also be requested at the City Clerk’s office. Absentee Voter Ballot Drop Box at East Lansing City HallAn AV ballot drop box is located in the north parking lot of East Lansing City Hall, 410 Abbot Road. The drop box provides residents with a convenient way to drop off AV ballot applications and AV ballots without having to exit their vehicles.
