EAST LANSING, Mich. — The Center City project street and sidewalk work currently taking place on Albert Avenue in downtown East Lansing is nearing completion. On Monday, July 2, 2018, Abbot Road will be closed between Grand River Avenue and Albert Avenue in order for road paving to take place. The closure is expected to take place at 7 a.m. and last into the evening. Vehicles traveling southbound on Abbot Road will be able to turn west onto Albert Avenue during the road closure.
Albert Avenue is expected to re-open on Tuesday, July 3 to allow westbound traffic to Abbot Road. The new widened sidewalk on the north side of Albert will also be open for pedestrians at that time.
