EAST LANSING, Mich. — Community members are advised that the City of East Lansing’s Albert Avenue Sidewalk Improvement Project is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 25.
Improvements will be made to the Albert-Division, Albert-Bailey and Albert-Collingwood intersections. To accommodate the construction, there will be phased closures along the cross streets of Albert Avenue, between Division Street and Collingwood Drive.
The first phase of the project will involve a closure on Division Street, between Albert Avenue and Grand River Avenue. This will include both north and south bound lanes for thru traffic. The Division Street Garage and the adjacent alley will remain accessible. Thru traffic should follow the posted detour to navigate around the construction. Once the south portion is completed, the construction will move to the north side of Albert Avenue. Division Street will be closed from Albert Avenue to Ann Street for this second part of the first phase of construction.
Additional information on the second and third phases of this project will be provided at a later date.
