EAST LANSING, Mich. — The City of East Lansing’s 2017 Moonlight Film Festival will kick off this July, featuring FREE movies shown on a big, outdoor screen in Valley Court Park, 280 Valley Court Park.
The 2017 Moonlight Film Festival will take place on Thursday nights, July 6-Aug. 10, at 9:30 p.m. in July and 9 p.m. in August. Community members are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs and enjoy a night under the stars.

Thursday, July 6 at 9:30 p.m. – “The Secret Life of Pets” (PG)
Thursday, July 13 at 9:30 p.m. – “Pete’s Dragon” (2016) (PG)
Thursday, July 20 at 9:30 p.m. – “Rogue One” (PG-13)
Thursday, July 27 at 9:30 p.m. – “Sing” (PG)
Thursday, Aug. 3 at 9 p.m. – “La La Land” (PG-13)
Thursday, Aug. 10 at 9 p.m. – “Lion” (PG-13)*
*This movie will be shown in partnership with the 2017 One Book, One Community (OBOC) program. The movie “Lion” is based on the book “A Long Way Home” by Saroo Brierley – this year’s OBOC book selection. Brierley will kick off the 2017 OBOC program with a visit to the East Lansing-MSU community at the end of August (Aug. 27-28). Learn more at www.onebookeastlansing.com.
