EAST LANSING, Mich. – Earlier this month, Nicole McPherson stepped into a new role as the City of East Lansing’s engineering administrator.
McPherson formerly served as the City’s assistant engineering administrator and has been working with the City since May 2016. McPherson is a licensed professional engineer in the states of Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania. She is also a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified professional, a licensed Construction Document Technician (CDT) and has completed the Pipeline Assessment and Certification Program.
McPherson holds a Bachelor of Science in Biosystems Engineering from Michigan State University and a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from Arizona State University. Her professional affiliations include the Michigan Water Environment Association and the American Public Works Association.
Prior to joining the City of East Lansing, McPherson served in various roles with Tetra Tech from 2005-2016, served as a public works design engineer with DLZ Michigan, Inc. from 2002-2005 and served as an environmental engineer with C2AE from 1999-2002.
“Nicole’s wealth of experience and education will serve her well in her new role heading the City of East Lansing’s Engineering Division,” said East Lansing Department of Public Works Director Scott House. “We are fortunate to have someone with her background and level of professionalism at the helm of the division responsible for design, construction and inspection of public infrastructure projects in the East Lansing community.”
