EAST LANSING, Mich. — The East Lansing Public Library (ELPL), 950 Abbot Road, will host a book signing with Tom Carr on Wednesday, June 22 from 5-6 p.m.
Tom Carr is an independent writer and journalist from northern Michigan who spent 25 years with daily newspapers and recently published his first book, “Blood on the Mitten: Infamous Michigan Murders.” In this literary debut, Carr compiles more than 50 chilling, illustrated accounts of the most notorious murders in Michigan.
Carr has won journalistic awards for his investigative reporting, feature writing, breaking news and humor columns. His work has appeared in the Detroit Free Press, the New York Daily News, Traverse Magazine and others. As a freelancer, Carr has branched out into other media and has reported and produced stories that have been broadcasted on Interlochen Public Radio, NPR and Michigan Radio. As a journalist, Carr often covered courts and crime.
