[ARCHIVED] ELPD Investigates Three Larcenies during East Lansing Art Festival

EAST LANSING, Mich. – The East Lansing Police Department (ELPD) is currently investigating three reported larcenies during this past weekend’s East Lansing Art Festival.

Three exhibiting artists reported that art had been stolen from their booths over the night of Saturday, May 21. The suspects entered the artists’ tents after the festival was over to steal pieces of their work. Two of the booths were located near the Abbot-Elizabeth intersection and one of the booths was located on M.A.C. Avenue near Grand River Avenue. A total of 11 art pieces were stolen worth a total value of $4,500.
