EAST LANSING, Mich. – Beginning Nov. 13, applications will be available for funding under the City of East Lansing’s FY 2016-2017 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program and the FY 2016-2017 General Fund Human Service Activities budget.
The City allocates grant funds on an annual basis to agencies providing direct services to residents living within East Lansing’s corporate boundaries. The City has a list of priority needs in the community. Agencies that provide these services to East Lansing residents are encouraged to apply for funding. Examples of services include respite childcare, legal services, youth services, literacy and English as a Second Language tutoring. The City will offer a Grant Application Workshop on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at 4 p.m. for new or returning agencies and organizations interested in applying for funding. The workshop will be held in Conference Room A of East Lansing City Hall, 410 Abbot Road.
