EAST LANSING, Mich. — The East Lansing Police Department (ELPD) is investigating a crash that occurred at the intersection of Abbot Road and Lake Lansing Road at 8:53 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 11.
A motor vehicle, which was traveling northbound on Abbot Road, was in the process of turning left on Lake Lansing Road when it was struck by a motorcycle traveling southbound on Abbot Road, possibly at a high rate of speed.
The driver of the motorcycle, a 19-year-old male from Livonia, was pronounced dead at the scene.
