EAST LANSING, Mich. — Emmy award-winning actor and East Lansing High School graduate Tim Busfield will lead a Performing Arts Warm-Up at the East Lansing Public Library (ELPL) Sept 12-13.
Busfield is one of America’s most prolific actor/producer/directors. He has more than 650 professional credits, including performances in “Revenge of the Nerds,” “Field of Dreams,” “West Wing,” “Thirtysomething” and more. Busfield is the founder of the award-winning B Street Theater in Sacramento, Calif. and also created the B Street Intern Training Program. He has had more than 75 lead roles in professional plays; and has directed more than 125, acted in more than 250 and served as executive producer of more than 125 episodes of television.
Tim Busfield’s Performing Arts Warm-Up at ELPL will be open to area youth in grades K-12. Children, grades K-6, will meet from 10:30 a.m.-noon on Saturday, Sept. 12 and Sunday, Sept. 13; with check-in at 10 a.m. both days. Youth, grades 7-12, will meet from 12:30-5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12 and Sunday, Sept. 13; with check-in at noon both days. There will also be morning sessions for teachers from 9:30-10:15 a.m. both days, including “Directing for the Stage” and “Directing for Films and TV.”
