EAST LANSING, Mich. — The City of East Lansing and the East Lansing Police Department are mourning the death of retired Meridian Township Police Chief Dave Hall.
Hall served the Meridian Township Police Department for 40 years and was the longest-serving chief in Meridian Township (2004-2018). He was an advocate for partnering with other mid-Michigan communities and championed the importance of relationship building.
“Chief Hall cared about his community and was a role model for providing quality services. Our hearts go out to his family, both at home and in the police department,” said East Lansing Mayor Ron Bacon.
“Chief Hall personified the importance of service, and he always had the best interest of the Meridian Township community at heart,” said East Lansing Police Chief Kim Johnson. “He will be sorely missed in our community.”
