EAST LANSING, Mich. — The City of East Lansing and the Greater Lansing Area Moms will host the second annual GLAM Jam Summer Kickoff at Albert EL Fresco on Wednesday, June 21.

Community members are invited to bring their families to downtown East Lansing for the family-friendly event from 4-8 p.m. Albert EL Fresco is the outdoor space that extends along Albert Avenue between Abbot Road and M.A.C. Avenue in downtown East Lansing.

“We are happy to be partnering with the Greater Lansing Area Moms on this exciting event. Hosting fun, family-friendly programming in downtown East Lansing increases foot traffic and helps our businesses thrive,” East Lansing Community and Economic Development Specialist Matt Apostle said.

Activities at this year’s GLAM Jam will include:

  • Shopping from street vendors selling a variety of locally-made products including jewelry, baked goods and tie dyed items
  • Photos with Lightning McQueen, made possible by A&D Auto Repair
  • Children’s activities like Face Painting by Hilary
  • Live music from Risky Studio and performances by Jeff the Magician
  • Visits from MSU’s Sparty and Zeke the Wonder Dog
  • A fitness demonstration from F45 Training
  • Touch-a-truck demonstrations from the East Lansing Police Department and East Lansing Fire Department
  • The East Lansing Public Library’s mobile pop-up library and Albert EL Fresco games
  • A chance to win great prizes and more!

Food trucks will be set up for GLAM Jam in addition to the many local area restaurants that are open for dine-in or carry-out. Albert EL Fresco offers several picnic tables for outdoor dining.

GLAM Jam is free to attend; however, organizers have requested that community members register to attend to assist with event planning. Sign-up here:
