EAST LANSING, Mich. — Community members are advised that City of East Lansing offices and facilities will be closed on Monday, May 29 in observance of Memorial Day.
Closures will include East Lansing City Hall, 410 Abbot Road; East Lansing 54-B District Court, 101 Linden St.; the East Lansing Department of Public Works, 1800 E. State Road; the East Lansing Hannah Community Center (ELHCC) and East Lansing Prime Time, 819 Abbot Road; and the East Lansing Public Library (ELPL), 950 Abbot Road.
Additionally, East Lansing 54-B District Court will be closed for staff training on Friday, May 26. The ELHCC will be closed on Saturday, May 27 and Sunday, May 28 in addition to the closure on Monday, May 29. The ELPL will be closed Sunday, May 28, beginning the library’s summer schedule of Sunday closures.
There will be no yard waste or bulk item collection on Monday, May 29. The next yard waste collection day will be a free pickup for homes west of Abbot Road on Monday, June 5; free yard waste pickup will be offered to homes east of Abbot Road the following Monday. Community members are invited to a wreath-laying ceremony in honor of Memorial Day on Wednesday, May 24 at 11 a.m. on the grounds of ELHCC.
