Izzo Legacy 5K Run/Walk/Roll to Result in Some Street Closures This Weekend

EAST LANSING, Mich. — Community members are advised that the Izzo Legacy 5K Run/Walk/Roll will bring thousands of people to the streets of East Lansing on Saturday, April 15, resulting in some lane closures on East Lansing streets from approximately 7 a.m.-noon.

The following streets will be affected by lane closures:

  • Northbound lanes of Harrison Road from Kalamazoo Street to Michigan Avenue
  • Both eastbound lanes on Michigan Avenue
  • One eastbound lane on Grand River Avenue from Michigan Avenue to Bogue Street
  • One southbound lane of Bogue Street from Grand River Avenue to Shaw Lane 

Signage will be in place to direct traffic and motorists are advised to seek alternate routes. Officers with the East Lansing Police Department and Michigan State University Police Department will be onsite to assist with traffic control and race safety.

The City of East Lansing is a sponsor of the Izzo Legacy 5K Run/Walk/Roll.
