54B District Court Closed for In-Person Hearings on Thursday, Feb. 23

EAST LANSING, Mich. — Due to inclement weather, the East Lansing 54B District Court will be closed to the public on Thursday, Feb. 23.

Court offices will not be open for in-person hearings, walk-in arraignments or payments. Drop boxes are available at the East Lansing Police Desk, 409 Park Lane, and East Lansing City Hall’s north parking lot, 410 Abbot Road, for filings and payments. Payments can also be made online at www.54bdistrictcourt.com.

“Any in-person hearings scheduled during the closure will be rescheduled,” said 54B District Court Chief Judge Molly Hennessey Greenwalt. “All remote hearings will proceed as scheduled.”

The Court expects to resume normal operations, including conducting in-person scheduled hearings, on Friday, Feb. 24.
