EAST LANSING, Mich. — Community members are advised that counseling services will continue to be offered to those in need at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center (ELHCC), 819 Abbot Road, and the East Lansing Public Library (ELPL), 950 Abbot Road, on Wednesday, Feb. 15.
- Community-based counselors will be on hand to provide counseling services at the ELHCC from noon-5:30 p.m.
- Counselors from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services and the Community Mental Health Authority of Clinton, Eaton and Ingham Counties will be on hand to provide counseling services at ELPL from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
These counseling services are available to anyone in the community in need.

“Students, faculty, staff, MSU family members and the community at large are encouraged to reach out for assistance if they are struggling to process the recent shooting events on the MSU campus,” said Interim East Lansing City Manager Randall Talifarro. “It’s so important that community members take care of themselves and get the assistance that they need in the aftermath of this traumatic and devastating incident.”
Community members are also advised that there will be a vigil at The Rock on MSU’s campus at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15.
