It is expected that the City Council will review the applications and discuss next steps in the appointment process at its first regular meeting in January, taking place on Tuesday, Jan. 10 at 7 p.m. at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center, 819 Abbot Road. The individual appointed will serve until the November 7, 2023 General Election, at which time Councilmember Babcock’s full term on Council will expire.
