East Lansing Police Department Hosts 2nd Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive

EAST LANSING, Mich. — The East Lansing Police Department (ELPD) will host a Thanksgiving Food Drive on Sunday, Nov. 27 from noon to 6 p.m. at Patriarche Park in East Lansing. 

Contributions to the ELPD’s Thanksgiving Food Drive will benefit Advent House Ministries and the City Rescue Mission of Lansing. Personal care items that have been requested include:

  • Socks
  • Gloves
  • Tight knit hats
  • Blankets
  • Handwarmers
  • Lotion
  • Lip balm
  • Facial tissues
  • Cough drops

Other items that have been requested by these organizations include:

  • To-go containers
  • Coffee
  • Canned fruit
  • Sweetened cereal
  • Canned vegetables
  • Non-perishable food items
  • Breakfast bars
  • Cake frosting
  • Dry drink mixes

Donations can be brought to Patriarche Park at anytime during the six-hour period when the ELPD will be at the park collecting donations.
