EAST LANSING, Mich. — The City of East Lansing is now accepting applications for its Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program funding.
The deadline to apply is December 15, 2022 at 5 p.m., and the FY 2024 program encompasses CDBG funding that would be provided for activities undertaken between July 1, 2023-June 30, 2024. The application and an application resource guide are available at https://www.cityofeastlansing.com/cdbg.
Eligible applicants include, but are not limited to: private/public nonprofits, community-based organizations, local public agencies as well as certain microenterprises and other private entities with activities that meet eligibility requirements and national objectives established by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. According to HUD, the primary objective of the CDBG program is to provide for “the development of viable communities by the provision of decent housing, a suitable living environment and expanding economic opportunities, principally for persons of low and moderate income.” Prospective applicants can find additional details about eligibility by viewing the application resource guide at https://www.cityofeastlansing.com/cdbg.

- Tuesday, Dec. 13 – 4-5 p.m.
- Thursday, Dec. 15 – 9-10 a.m.
