EAST LANSING, Mich. — The East Lansing Downtown Management Board (DMB) is pleased to welcome two new businesses to downtown East Lansing: Capo’s Cheesesteak Hoagies and Grill and Detroit Wing Company.The owners of Lou & Harry’s are expanding downtown East Lansing’s late-night offerings with the East Coast, Italian-themed Capo’s Cheesesteak Hoagie’s and Grill - open for lunch, dinner and late night. Capo’s Cheesesteak Hoagies and Grill, located at 219 E. Grand River Ave., is locally owned and operated by Scott Rolen and Harry Saites. Capo’s offers late-night food options like East Coast-inspired cheesesteaks, smash burgers and loaded cheese fries.“We have a flair of fresh and unique combinations of cheese steaks made from scratch,” said Rolen.
A ribbon cutting for Capo’s will take place on Monday, Aug. 29 at 1 p.m. and the first 50 people will be entered in a drawing for a $50 gift card (three winners selected). Enjoy Capo’s in person or online through Door Dash, Grub Hub or Uber Eats, Monday through Saturday.
Detroit Wing Company is also now open for business in downtown East Lansing. Located at 437 E Grand River Ave., Detroit Wing Company specializes in all things wings, including classic and boneless wings, chicken tenders and plant based Pretendies. The menu also boasts 20 house-made signature sauces, a popular Mac n’ Cheese, Poutine, coleslaw, cornbread muffins and cookies.
The East Lansing location is the 23rd store to open and it boasts the largest footprint of all of the Detroit Wing Company locations at 3,325 square feet. It is locally owned and operated by two brothers and their spouses: Bill and Kim Marchiori and Tony and Katy Marchiori.
“An exciting journey has begun for our family as we open our Detroit Wing Company of East Lansing,” the Marchiori family said in a provided statement. “Our family works each day to provide great food and service, but also focuses on being a part of the community, local schools and Michigan State University to make a positive impact. We proudly welcome everyone to come enjoy our fantastic food and service as we open the 23rd DWC store.”
A grand opening event for Detroit Wing Company is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 1 at 1 p.m.
