EAST LANSING, Mich. — The City of East Lansing is excited to announce that the 2022 East Lansing Summer Concert Series will kick off this Friday, July 8 with a free, live performance by the Keynote Sisters from 7-9 p.m. in downtown East Lansing’s Ann Street Plaza, located at the corner of Albert and M.A.C. avenues.
The 2022 East Lansing Summer Concert Series will feature six free, live performances by talented, local music acts every Friday evening from July 8-Aug. 12. All performances will take place in downtown East Lansing’s Ann Street Plaza from 7-9 p.m. Community members can bring a lawn chair/blanket or grab a bite to eat in downtown East Lansing. Several restaurants located adjacent to Ann Street Plaza offer outdoor seating, and the Albert EL Fresco pedestrian friendly area is also located adjacent to the plaza.
If it rains, concerts will be canceled. Notification of any canceled concerts will be posted at https://www.cityofeastlansing.com/455/Summer-Concert-Series.

- Friday, July 8 – Keynote Sisters
The Keynote Sisters are a Michigan-based singer/songwriter duo featuring sisters Phoebe and Jaclyn. Accompanied by guitar, keyboard and cajon, the Keynote Sisters' sound pulls from influences of pop, folk and Americana, tied together by their signature knit-tight harmonies. - Friday, July 15 – Ben Traverse
Ben Traverse is a traditional folk singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, audio engineer and member of the Earthwork Music Collective with deep roots in Michigan. Despite not coming from a musical family, Traverse has been drawn to live music since he held his first guitar at two years old – a gift from his grandfather. - Friday, July 22 – Taylor Taylor
Taylor Taylor has roots in Lansing, Mich. and has been cultivating her musical style with a nylon string guitar, warm vocals and lyric-driven songwriting, which reveal intelligence beyond her 24 years. - Friday, July 29 – Jordan Hamilton
Jordan Hamilton is a Michigan-based cellist and vocalist and member of the Earthwork Music Collective. He merges songwriting, loop pedals, sample machines and vocals to create a sonic landscape of experimental hip-hop, folk, soul and classical music. - Friday, Aug. 5 – Cross Eyed Strangers
Cross Eyed Strangers is an East Lansing-based band consisting of current and former East Lansing High School students Wes Millhouse, Jun Ahn, Tomo Hanley, Jeremiah Liggett, Ty Morrison, Rowen Blesing, Nick Langford and Alex Arnold. - Friday, Aug. 12 – On the Lash
In honor of Irish traditional music, Michigan-based Celtic band On The Lash creates timeless sounds through original voices. With new takes on classic songs and original constructions of established standards, On the Lash aims to explore the inherent energy and versatility of the genre.
