EAST LANSING, Mich. — Community members are advised that East Lansing City Hall, 410 Abbot Road, will be closing early today, Dec. 20 at 10 a.m. due to a lack of heat in the building. The building is expected to re-open to the public on Tuesday, Dec. 21 at 8 a.m.
East Lansing City Hall employees will be available remotely to assist residents during the closure. For a list of City phone numbers, online payment options and additional departmental service information, visit www.cityofeastlansing.com.
The East Lansing Police Department’s (ELPD) 24/7 police desk, 409 Park Lane, will continue to remain staffed and open to the public during the closure. Additionally, the East Lansing Hannah Community Center, the East Lansing Public Library and the East Lansing Department of Public Works will remain open to the public.
The East Lansing Commission on the Environment meeting will still take place tonight at 6:30 p.m. in Courtroom 1 of the East Lansing 54B District Court, 101 Linden St. The public and commissioners can enter the building through the ELPD’s 24/7 police desk. If the meeting is canceled, the commissioners and public will be notified.
