EAST LANSING, Mich. — Members of the media and community are reminded that the popular, annual Winter Glow and Green Friday events are coming up this weekend in downtown East Lansing.

Additional details about each event are provided below:

Winter Glow
The Winter Glow event – East Lansing’s free, outdoor winter festival – will take place on Saturday, Dec. 4 from 2-5 p.m. in downtown East Lansing’s Ann Street Plaza (corner of Albert and M.A.C. avenues). The 2021 Winter Glow event is sponsored by the East Lansing Downtown Management Board.

This year’s Winter Glow will include live music, featuring The Dangling Participles; a winter farmers market; a live ice carving demonstration and children’s activities hosted by the East Lansing Public Library and East Lansing Art Festival. There will also be a photo booth available until 4:30 p.m.

The outdoor winter farmers market will feature many of the popular East Lansing Farmers Market vendors, including MI Drinks, Jenny’s Sweets & Treats, Twisted Craft Cocktails, Droscha Sugarbush, Where the Wild Things Bloom, Grand Traverse Sauce Company, Sapo de Solis, River Tree Coffee Company, Sweet Potato Delights and The Nut Brothers.

Community members are advised that Albert Avenue, from the entrance of the Albert Avenue Parking Garage to M.A.C. Avenue, will be closed Saturday, Dec. 4 from 7 a.m.-8 p.m. to accommodate the Winter Glow event.

Parking will be free in downtown East Lansing’s Charles Street Garage, 121 Charles St., and Division Street Garage, 181 Division St., on Saturday, Dec. 4 from 2-6 p.m. for the event.
