[ARCHIVED] East Lansing Community Photo Contest Deadline is One Month Away

EAST LANSING, Mich. — The deadline is less than one month away for the City of East Lansing’s 2021 Community Photo Contest, officially sponsored by the “Daytime. Nighttime. Anytime. Place Project” (Place Project).

Community members who submit photos by Sunday, Oct. 17 at midnight will be in the running for fantastic contest prizes donated by the Place Project. There is a total of $500 in downtown East Lansing eGift Cards for photo contest winners, including a $150 gift card for 1st place, a $100 gift card for 2nd place, $50 gift card for 3rd place and $10 gift cards for honorable mention photos (10 total). Additionally, the participant who submits the best photo of downtown East Lansing will receive a $100 Downtown East Lansing eGift Card.

In addition to the prizes, the winning photos will also be featured in City of East Lansing marketing materials, online and in print, including the City’s 2021 Annual Report & 2022 Calendar.

Community members from throughout the region are invited to show off their photo-taking talent by submitting up to five high resolution digital photos that illustrate what they love most about the East Lansing community – from its beautiful parks, community events, neighborhoods, vibrant downtown and more! Photos must be taken in East Lansing.

Photos can be submitted online at Winners will be contacted after the deadline to fill out and submit a signed entry/model release form. The model release portion only applies if the photos contain people. The forms are currently available on the website for those participants who would prefer to submit their forms ahead of time.

East Lansing Community Photo Contests were previously held in 2019, 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2009 and 2008. Community members with questions about the contest can email or call (517) 319-6980.
