[ARCHIVED] East Lansing Family Aquatic Center to Open Friday, May 29

EAST LANSING, Mich. – The East Lansing Family Aquatic Center, 6400 Abbot Road, will officially open its doors for the 2015 summer season on Friday, May 29. The 2015 season will run May 29-Sept. 7.

The Aquatic Center is an interactive outdoor water facility that provides a safe aquatic experience to patrons off all ages. Features of the facility include a 190-foot tube water slide, 140-foot body water slide, splash park, drop slide, diving board, youth frog slide and a number of interactive, water-play structures. The Aquatic Center also features a wet/dry sand play area, large sunbathing deck, zero-depth pool entry and concessions.

Aquatic Center Hours:
May 29-May 31; 11 a.m.-7 p.m.June 1-June 4; 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
June 5-July 31; weekdays, 11 a.m.-8 p.m.June 6-Aug. 30; weekends, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
Aug. 1-31; Monday-Sunday, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.Last Day of Season (Sept. 7); 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

The Aquatic Center offers daily, 10-visit and season passes to patrons. Patrons can also purchase combo passes, which can be used at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center, 819 Abbot Road, and the Aquatic Center. Group rates and private after-hour rentals for the Aquatic Center are also available.

The Aquatic Center will open every day at 11 a.m., weather permitting. Contact the Aquatic Center at (517) 333-2580 (prior to May 29) or 517-332-4420 (after May 29). Specific rates and additional information can be found at www.cityofeastlansing.com/AquaticCenter.
