[ARCHIVED] East Lansing City Clerk Open Saturday, May 2 to Issue Absentee Ballots

EAST LANSING, Mich. — The East Lansing City Clerk’s Office, 410 Abbot Road, will be open Saturday, May 2 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. to issue and receive absentee voter ballots for the May 5, 2015 Special Statewide Election.

Absentee ballots must be returned to the City Clerk’s Office, not the precinct, by 8 p.m. on the day of the election. The cost of postage to send ballots back is $0.70. Registered voters can also vote absentee in person at the City Clerk's Office up to 4 p.m. on Monday, May 4.

East Lansing’s polls will be open 7 a.m.-8 p.m. on Election Day. Sample ballots and additional election information is available at

Precinct Changes
Precinct 2 voters are reminded that their polling location has permanently changed from All Saints Episcopal Church to Martin Luther Chapel, 444 Abbot Road.

Precinct 1 voters are reminded that their polling location has temporarily changed from Brody Hall to IM West, 393 Chestnut Road on the MSU campus. This is a temporary location for the May 5, 2015 election due to finals week at Brody Hall.

East Lansing voters are encouraged to visit to confirm their registration and polling location before they go vote on Election Day.
