EAST LANSING, Mich. — East Lansing residents are advised that the City of East Lansing’s drop-off recycling site, 1800 E. State Road, is slated to re-open to the public on Monday, Jan. 4 at noon.
All users of the site are asked to follow traffic flow signs and are required to wear a mask and maintain at least six feet of physical distance from others.
Items that can be recycled at the site include plastics #1-2 and #4-7, aluminum cans/foil, boxboard, brown paper bags, corrugated cardboard, glass bottles/jars (clear, brown, green), mixed paper, magazines and catalogs (glossy), newspapers and inserts, phone books, polystyrene #6 (Styrofoam™) and tin/steel cans. All items should be empty and rinsed.
The drop-off recycling site will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Community members with questions can call the East Lansing Department of Public Works at (517) 337-9459.
