EAST LANSING, Mich. — East Lansing was relatively quiet following MSU’s Final Four game on Saturday, April 4.
A small crowd of approximately 100-125 people gathered along Waters Edge Drive and Cedar Street following the game to celebrate the conclusion of a great MSU season. While the majority of the crowd was peaceful in their celebration, seven individuals were arrested for disorderly conduct violations. These violations consisted of wrongfully propelling objects at police and others in the area. In addition to these arrests, 10 fires were set throughout the community.
“We are glad that the majority of Spartan fans chose to celebrate responsibly,” said East Lansing Police Chief Juli Liebler. “We would like to thank the area law enforcement agencies that assisted us in maintaining a safe environment here in East Lansing this weekend and last.”
Additional information will be available on Monday, April 6.
