[ARCHIVED] City of East Lansing Launches New Online Payment Option for Yard Waste, Bulk Item Stickers

EAST LANSING, Mich. — East Lansing residents are advised that they can now make online payments for City of East Lansing-issued yard waste and bulk item  collection stickers at https://www.cityofeastlansing.com/curbsidesupplies.

This new payment option allows residents to purchase the following items online using all major credit cards: yard waste stickers ($1.75), regular bulk items ($20) and bulk items containing Freon ($43.50). Service fees will not be applied to residents and, once an online payment is submitted, residents will receive their purchased stickers in the mail in approximately five to seven business days.

“During this time of continued precautionary measures due to the COVID-19 crisis, we are happy to provide this new, no-contact payment option for our residents,” said East Lansing Environmental Services Administrator Cathy DeShambo. “While bags and stickers can still be purchased in person at East Lansing City Hall, this convenient and easy online option is a great way to do your City business without having to leave home.”

In addition to being able to purchase bulk item stickers and yard waste bags and stickers at East Lansing City Hall during open hours, residents can purchase yard waste bags and stickers at the East Lansing Farmers Market (cash only). The market will be open every Sunday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in Valley Court Park, 280 Valley Court, through the end of October. Masks are required at both City Hall and the market.

Residents will still need to schedule their curbside collection at www.cityofeastlansing.com/collectionrequest upon receiving their stickers/bags. Scheduled collections are offered on Mondays (excluding holidays) and items must be at the curb by 7:30 a.m. to ensure collection. Residents can review all guidelines for yard waste collection at www.cityofeastlansing.com/yardwaste. Residents can review all guidelines for bulk item collection at www.cityofeastlansing.com/bulkitem.
