EAST LANSING, Mich. — Motorists are advised that paving is scheduled to begin on Trowbridge Road, between Harrison Road and Arbor Drive, on Saturday, June 20 and will continue through next week.
The work is weather-dependent, so the schedule could be altered by a few days depending on conditions. Saturday work will involve the paving of the median crossover locations and the eastbound and westbound inside lanes. One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction, with traffic shifted to the outside lanes of the roadway; however, short-duration closures/delays can be expected. Flagging personnel will be in place to assist with guiding local traffic, and all other motorists are encouraged to follow the posted detour to avoid delays.
Motorists are also advised that the Burcham Drive construction originally scheduled to take place next week between Hagadorn Road and Lexington Avenue has been temporarily postponed while demolition of Marble Elementary School is completed. Community members will be notified once new construction dates are set for the installation of water and sewer service leads for the school.
Community members can contact the East Lansing Department of Public Works (DPW) at (517) 337-9459 with questions. Current DPW phone hours are Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-3 p.m.
