EAST LANSING, Mich. — The East Lansing Children’s Concert Series returns this February, featuring three Saturdays of live musical entertainment for children of all ages. The concerts are free and open to all.
The concerts will take place at 11 a.m. at the East Lansing Hannah Community Center, 819 Abbot Road, on the following dates:
Saturday, Feb. 1 – Mark Dvorak
Mark Dvorak is a seasoned singer-songwriter who performs American Folk Music to audiences throughout the Midwest. Through the banjo and acoustic guitar, Dvorak makes folk music come alive for young and veteran listeners alike. His performance is part of the annual Mid-Winter Singing and Folk Festival: http://www.singingfestival.com/.
Saturday, Feb. 15 – The Storytellers
The Storytellers are a traveling group who introduce audiences to music from around the world through interactive story-telling. By combining humor, musical instruments and hands-on fun, The Storytellers create a captivating performance for audiences of all ages.
Saturday, Feb. 29 – Karen Bonnici
Karen Bonnici creates an interactive experience for audiences by incorporating physical animation, characters, stories and songs to her storytelling. This special concert will feature Bonnici’s unique collection of traditional and original works, ukuleles and music.
