EAST LANSING, Mich. — The 2015 Assessor’s Review for East Lansing property owners will take place Feb. 26-27 and March 2 from 9 a.m.-noon and 1-5 p.m. in the East Lansing Assessor’s Office, 410 Abbot Road (room 109).
The City of East Lansing's 2015 assessments were mailed to property owners on Feb. 23, 2015, as required by law. The East Lansing Assessor’s Review has been extended to include Monday, March 2 to accommodate property owners who may not receive their assessments in the mail until later this week. Assessments can also be viewed online at https://is.bsasoftware.com. Viewing assessments online is free and 2015 assessments are now available.
Property owners do not need to make an appointment to attend the Assessor’s Review; they can drop in at the time that works best for them. Questions and concerns will be addressed on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Assessor's Review provides residents with an opportunity to bring any errors or questions regarding their assessment to the attention of the East Lansing Assessor’s Office in an informal setting. The Assessor’s Review also allows property owners to gain a better understanding of the assessing process in general and how that process was applied to their properties in particular. In the end, some property owners may not agree with the values placed on their properties and may appeal to the Board of Review.
