EAST LANSING, Mich. — The East Lansing Human Relations Commission’s (HRC) Coffee & Conversation series continues with a Veterans Edition this Thursday, Nov. 21 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at the Grand Traverse Pie Company in Brookfield Plaza, 1403 E. Grand River Ave. The series provides a monthly forum for community discussions on topics of diversity and inclusion.
The Coffee & Conversation series was launched in response to feedback from community members at previous organized events and will continue to feature monthly informal conversations around a single-topic issue at rotating East Lansing locations. Topics are related to a variety of human rights issues and are hosted by rotating members of the HRC.
“Through this monthly series, community members are able to learn, discuss and grow from one another in an informal and welcoming setting,” said East Lansing Mayor Pro Tem Aaron Stephens, who currently serves as the HRC’s Council liaison. “We invite the greater East Lansing community to attend and look forward to continuing to engage in thoughtful dialogue on a variety of issues and topics.”
Additional sessions will be announced on the City’s website calendar, www.cityofeastlansing.com, and social media: https://www.facebook.com/cityofeastlansing and https://twitter.com/CityofEL.
