Payment Amount Information

The 54B District Court offers a number of options for making payments:

  • Pay parking tickets online, pay traffic tickets online and pay misdemeanor tickets online. The person paying must be an authorized user of the credit card and have a state identification card or driver's license to confirm identity
  • Pay in person by cash, check or credit card during regular business hours.
  • Pay by phone by calling Parking (517) 351-7022; Traffic (517) 351-4568; or  Misdemeanors (criminal cases) (517) 351-8630.
  • Drop a check or cash in one of the 24-hour drop boxes.
  • Mail a check.
  • There is a 3% convenience fee assessed for all credit card payments. 
Non-Sufficient Funds and Over Payments
  • There will be a $25 fee for all returned checks. No further checks will be accepted as payment and must be made with cash, money order or credit card only. Failure to comply may result in a Bench Warrant for arrest and license sanctions. Criminal prosecution may also occur.
  • Over payments of more than $10 will be refunded at least 30 days after the check clears the bank. Over payments under $10 will be assessed as additional court costs.
