The East Lansing Arts Commission distributes grant funding for public art projects and events in East Lansing. The commission has up to $17,500 to allocate to cultural arts projects for Fiscal Year 2022.
The Cultural Arts Grant program supports high-quality public art projects that encourage artistic expression and public participation, with an emphasis on promoting cultural appreciation for Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) communities as well as the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersexual and Asexual (LGBTQIA+) community. Fiscal Year 2022 grant-funded programs must take place between October 1, 2021 and June 30, 2022.
A webinar will be hosted via Zoom on Wednesday, Aug. 11 at 11:30 a.m. to answer questions and provide an overview of the Cultural Arts Grant. Those interested in attending must RSVP to the event by emailing Heather Majano at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Grant recipients are required to submit an Online Final Report, which is used by the Arts Commission to evaluate funding. Please complete and return the final report within 60 days of the completion day of the funded project or activity.
