The East Lansing Police Department (ELPD), 409 Park Lane, offers a 24-hours-a-day collection program, where residents can properly dispose of unwanted firearms (long gun or handgun) and ammunition.
Firearm & Ammunition Disposal Program
The ELPD accepts any unwanted firearms (long gun or handgun) or ammunition at the ELPD desk 24 hours a day. Please specify if you want the firearm to be destroyed or if it can be converted to police department use.
