Holiday Collection Schedule

The City of East Lansing attempts to collect refuse and recycling as close to regular collection days as possible when it comes to holiday observances. In most cases, DPW crews double up on the day following a holiday. In the case when a holiday occurs on a Friday, collection typically occurs on the following Monday.*When DPW is closed on a Monday in observance of a holiday, there will be no yard waste or bulk item pickup until the following Monday.

January 17, 2022	DPW closed. No bulk item collection until following Monday.
February 21, 2022*	DPW closed. No bulk item collection until following Monday.
May 30, 2022	DPW closed. No yard waste or bulk item collection until following Monday.
July 4, 2022	DPW closed. No yard waste or bulk item collection until following Monday.
September 5, 2022	DPW closed. No yard waste or bulk item collection until following Monday.
November 11, 2022	DPW closed. Friday's refuse and recycling collected on Monday, Nov. 14.
November 24-25, 2022	DPW closed. Thursday's and Friday's refuse and recycling collected on Friday, Nov. 25.
December 23, 2022	DPW closed. Refuse and recycling collected as usual (no changes).
December 26, 2022	DPW closed. No bulk item collection.
December 30, 2022	DPW closed. Refuse and recycling collected as usual (no changes).
January 2, 2023	DPW closed. No bulk item collection.
January 16, 2023	DPW closed. No bulk item collection.
February 13, 2023	DPW closed. No bulk item collection.
