Hazardous Sidewalk Program

The Hazardous Sidewalk Program provides for the inspection, notification and repair to sidewalks located within public right-of-way. The sidewalk system has been divided into 11 sidewalk districts.

Property owners are responsible for the maintenance and cost of repairs to sidewalks adjacent to their property, however, in some instances the City may be responsible for replacement costs if the damage was caused by tree roots from a parkway tree. The City is responsible for sidewalk ramps at street intersections.
