Following a joint recommendation from the East Lansing Parks and Recreation Advisory Board and the East Lansing Commission on the Environment, and in recognition of East Lansing being declared a Pollinator Friendly Community, the East Lansing City Council approved Resolution 2023-6 to adopt No Mow May in 2023.

Residents who register for No Mow May can pick up a free yard sign at the East Lansing Department of Public Works, 1800 E. State Road, or the East Lansing Hannah Community Center, 819 Abbot Road.
