The Community and Economic Development Division administers the City’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program.
CDBG is a program funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and administered by states and local governments. For Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 (July 1, 2023-June 30, 2024), the City of East Lansing received $462,406 in CDBG funding. CDBG funds are intended to address the needs of low-to moderate-income East Lansing residents through individual and neighborhood investment.
