The Department of Public Works & Environmental Services (DPW) provides engineering, sanitation, environmental, transportation, water and sewer services to the community. The mission of the DPW is to maintain and improve the City’s infrastructure and environment and provide high-quality services to the community making East Lansing a great place to live, study and work.

Public Hearing Notice


The East Lansing Department of Public Works (DPW) will be holding a Public Hearing (PDF) on the East Lansing 2020 Project Plan for Collection System and Water Resource Recovery Facility Improvements for the purpose of receiving comments from interested persons. The purpose of the proposed project is to make improvements to the City’s existing sewerage collection and treatment systems. The public hearing will be held on Monday, July 6 at 6 p.m. at DPW, 1800 E. State Road. View the 2020 SRF Project Plan.
