Since 1978, the City of East Lansing has been providing assistance to prospective homebuyers through a variety of initiatives and programs. Over the years, this has included low-interest and deferred loans, direct acquisition and rehabilitation of vacant and abandoned properties and down payment and closing cost assistance for low-to-moderate income homebuyers. Today, The City works directly with Capital Area Housing Partnership (CAHP) for the administration of its homeownership programs. Additional information about CAHP can be found using the links below:
