The Human Resources Department administers employment opportunities, employee benefits, unit negotiations and staff development. The department also serves as a resource for the Human Rights Commission, which is responsible for guaranteeing civil rights within the community.

COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Plan

The City of East Lansing aims to protect its workforce by enacting all appropriate prevention efforts. The City is continually monitoring guidance from local, state and federal health officials and implementing workplace and plan modifications where appropriate.

The COVID-19 Preparedness and Response Plan has been established for the City of East Lansing in accordance with MIOSHA Emergency Rules for the novel Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
