Election Info

All qualified individuals are encouraged to register to vote and keep their voter registration address up-to-date. If you have a Michigan driver’s license or state ID, you may register to vote or update your information online here. Otherwise, you can complete the paper voter registration application and return it to your local clerk. Please keep in mind, if you wait until the two-week period prior to an election, you must register to vote in person with your local clerk and provide proof of residency.

  • Tuesday, November 2, 2021 (polls open 7 a.m.-8 p.m.): City Election

Regular Hours at City Clerk's Main Office and Satellite Office

The East Lansing City Clerk's main office; located at East Lansing City Hall, 410 Abbot Road, Room 100; is open during the following regular hours:

  • Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Beginning October 4, 2021, the East Lansing City Clerk's satellite office; located at Brody Hall, 241 Brody Service Road; will also be open during the following regular hours:

  • Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. 
East Lansing voters can register to vote, vote early and turn in voted ballots for the November 2, 2021 City Election at both locations. Learn more.

Extended Hours & Election Day Hours at City Clerk's Main Office and Satellite Office

Extended hours and Election Day hours will also be offered at both the main office and satellite office:

  • Tuesday, Oct. 26; 5-8 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Oct. 27; 5-8 p.m.
  • Sunday, Oct. 31; 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • Tuesday, Nov. 2 (Election Day); 7 a.m.-8 p.m. (while polls are open)
