Friends of East Lansing Seniors

The Friends of the East Lansing Seniors program was established in 1998 by members of the East Lansing community to create and manage a non-profit charitable trust. The Friends program is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and has a charitable solicitation license, which is used to facilitate a direct-mail funding drive each fall. The Friends program appreciates the community's support!

Mission Statement

The mission of the Friends of the East Lansing Seniors Program is to solicit and accept donations to assist the East Lansing Prime Time Seniors Program and to prudently invest and manage these donations in a charitable trust fund. The Friends will provide grants from the charitable trust fund to the Prime Time Senior Program to help supplement the program’s annual budget or to meet emerging needs.  As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Friends program will apply for grants for the benefit of the East Lansing senior residents.
