Be a Tourist in Your Own Town

The Greater Lansing Convention & Visitors Bureau's 22nd Annual Be a Tourist in Your Own Town (BATYOT) event will take place Saturday, June 4, 2016.

The event offers participants with the opportunity to visit more than 80 local attractions and enjoy one-day only special tours throughout the region with the purchase of a $1 passport. It's a great way for community members to get out and enjoy all that the region has to offer!

Activities in Downtown East Lansing


As part of the BATYOT event, there will be a number of fun activities going on in downtown East Lansing beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 4. This year, there will be a caricaturist, balloon twister and life-size games going on in Ann Street Plaza.

There will also be a scavenger hunt! Scavenger hunt cards can be picked up at the Greater Lansing Visitor Center - East Lansing, 549 E. Grand River Ave., beginning at 10 a.m. or at the information booth in Ann Street Plaza beginning at 1 p.m. BATYOT passports can also be picked up at the Greater Lansing Visitor Center - East Lansing and a number of other locations.
